HealthNet Dental Clinic

Located on Creston Park Drive in Janesville

What do we offer?

The HealthNet Dental Clinic is located at 1344 Creston Park Dr. Suite 2, Janesville, WI 53545. The Dental clinic encourages our patients to have a regular dental visit at least every 6 months. We provide cleanings, fillings, extractions, and in some cases, specialty services.

As of July 1, 2016, HealthNet’s dental clinic began accepting BadgerCare patients. Patients who are on BadgerCare do not need to enroll with our services through the medical clinic. BadgerCare patients can simply call the dental clinic number and provide their ForwardHealth number to our staff to schedule an appointment. At this time, HealthNet of Rock County’s dental clinic is only able to see patients who reside in Rock County.

How does it work?

The clinic is staffed by volunteer dentists and oral surgeons with the help of dental assistants, dental hygienists, front desk assistance, and a part-time dentist.

Who pays for these services?

While we accept BadgerCare reimbursements and co-pays, our dental clinic, like all of HealthNet services, is dependent on the support of volunteers and financial contributions from community members. Patient donations are encouraged but not mandatory.

SERVICES OFFERED

TEETH CLEANING

Teeth cleaning is part of oral hygiene and involves the removal of dental plaque from teeth with the intention of preventing cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease.

FLUORIDE & SEALANT TREATMENTS

Fluoride helps prevent decay and helps protect all the surfaces of the teeth, dental sealants provide extra protection for the grooved and pitted areas by providing a smooth surface covering over the fissured area. Dental sealants are plastic coatings that are usually placed on the chewing (occlusal) surface of the permanent back teeth — the molars and premolars — to help protect them from decay.

TREATMENT PLANS

It is always good to have a solid dental treatment plan. A solid dental treatment plan will keep teeth and gums healthy all the time, decrease the chance of having a painful toothache, and increase smiles. At the patient initial visit dental professionals we will take any necessary x-rays, examine your teeth and oral health altogether, and create a detailed treatment plan.

FILLINGS

To treat a cavity the decayed portion of the tooth and then where the decayed material was removed it will be filled. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse.

DENTAL X-RAYS

As needed, x-rays will be taken to find hidden dental structures, malignant or benign masses, bone loss, and cavities.

EXTRACTIONS

An extraction means to have a tooth removed, usually because of disease, trauma or crowding. If you need an extraction, the area will first be numbed to lessen any discomfort.
